Hi there,
As my forum name suggests I never imagined when I was younger that I would ever be overweight as I used to get called things like stick and beanpole when I was at school.
So it is quite a shock that I am now 11st 8lbs
I am now approaching 45 and have had a more sedentary job for the last 5 years.
Until I was 40 I was about 8st 8lb so I don't feel great about putting on 3 stone.
I want to lose 2 stone and feel okay about myself again.
I can be a chocoholic so have to be careful. It doesn't help when my husband fills the fridge up with chocolate when I lose weight.

He also loves cooking and is really good at it so that doesn't help me to stay slim either.
Like most of you on here I enjoy a glass of wine too but I am not going to give that up completely.
It is a vicious circle though in that the better you feel about yourself the more motivated you seem to be?
I have just got on the treadmill for the first time in about 2 years and done half an hours brisk walking so that is a start.
I also have a horse which does keep me quite toned but I would rather be slim and toned instead of fat and toned!
Anyway it is great to have found this forum and I'll keep popping in for some mutual support.
