Hiya
Just trying to get myself motivated to do some exercise in the new year, so thought i'd ask what everyone else does out of choice? I used to go to the gym or go jogging ( when its not too cold! ) but i get bored really easily of these. So i'd like to try something new, but havent a clue what! Plus i havent got anyone to do classes with, so like to do things i can do on my own really. Any ideas? Gem

Hi Gem,
I hate jogging and the nearest gym to me is a 20 minute drive. I think I'll start doing press ups and situps at home with a few long walks just to get me started. Have you tried using the wii fit? |

I used to use a cross trainer that was positioned so I could a TV, watched an episode of the Simpsons while exercising.
The cross trainer also had distance feedback so I plotted a route a route from lands end to John of Grouts and everytime I used the cross trainer I would try and travel a minimum distance to get me to another village or town. This sort of motivated me in a strange sort of way and found that I always wanted to get to the next village to the one I was aiming at. |

Is that an expensive crosstrainer you have got? Thanks |

It's a York 3100 that can be used standing up or sitting down. I brought it a few years ago and to be honest I can't remember how much it cost.

I find the only thing with work outs at home, is that they are too easy to just not bother doing! lol
Or i always seem to have other things to do. Gem
