Default HIIT - Better than Regular Cardio

for those of u who have not hear of HIIT it stands for High Intensity Interval Training.

And it is more effective than regular cardio at burning fat, what this involves is rather than doing excercise at a constant rate and keeping ur heartrate within a "fat burning" rate we mix things up. What we want to be doing is getting our heartrates up to a level of high intensity for around 30-60 seconds and then letting it drop down to a lower level for again around 30-60 seconds.

what this does is cause the body to burn more fat in a less time than regular cardio and it also takes less time and because u never stay at a constant rate ur body does not plateu!

a simple example of HIIT would be:
(on treadmill)
3min warm up (jogging pace)
30 seconds sprint
1min fast walk pace (just enough to drop heartrate to a low intensity level)
30 seconds sprint
1min fast walk

and so on... reapeating around 7-8 times

this of course is just a rough guide and will need adjust to the indeviduals general fitness and heartrate!
