Thanks for your thoughts Anthony. I do only drink about 4 coffees a day, but yes your right, I should stop, but you know how it is, if you feel deprived of something, you'll give up. Whilst I wrote that I eat what I want, it's not a particulary high fat diet I have. I don't like sweet foods at all, can't abide chocolate in any form, and do tend to eat alot of chicken and veg. I love my spuds though. But I have cur down on portion sizes. I've been given a great new workout and can see more changes in body shape again so I'm not going to get to hung up on the weight numbers. Finally, my scales are showing my fat percentage going down now and my muscle mass numbers are going up, so I'm happy with that. Cheers. Ruth

Hi Ruth,
I would suggest that you try a high protein diet and cut out some of the carbs and fat. This will give you more energy and if you are not putting carbs into your body it has no choice but to turn to your fat stores for energy which will burn any fat you are carrying first. You can still calorie count and as you exercise a lot thr protein will tone up your muscles.

A typical low carb high protein diet would be something like:

Breakfast: Eggs and Lean Bacon (no bread or sauces)
Lunch: Chicken Breast (no skin) with a Green Salad
Dinner: Grilled Fish with Asparagus and Tomatoes
Try not to eat any fruit as this has lots of sugar, avoid lemons also. Drink at least 2L of water a day and herbal tea made from just the leaf (no berries or flowers)
Stick to your coffee (black if poss) otherwise you will get a withdrawal headache but cut it down a bit a replace with the tea. This will also give you a detox. Give it a try for two weeks. I would be amazed if you don't lose 7lb in the first week!
Remember: No bread, pasta, rice, sugar or alcohol.
Give it a try and let me know how you get on!
Coco
