Hello everyone,
My name is Gary and I would like to introduce myself. This is the first time I have written a post in a forum and also the first time I am doing something about my health and well being so I hope I am in the right place! I would like a little bit of advice as reading up on stuff gives mixed opinions - I have read that you won't lose weight if you jog or exercise for 30 mins and have to do more etc... I am a 25 year old male, 5 foot 8 inches, I have been 12. 5 stone to 13 stone for about 4 years now, I don't think I look fat but I do have a mini beer belly about the size of half a football (soccer ball) and a pair of moobs about half the size of a medium chicken breast fillet and I am fit comfortably into a 34" waist trousers and medium T shirts. So I would like to know whether I would lose weight if I change my diet and life style from the the following average - ------------- Breakfast 1 slice of brown toast with spreadable butter Lunch/Work day (desk job) 2 sandwiches (1 Tuna mayo/ 1 Egg mayo) 1 packet of walkers crisps Dinner 1 of the following - Half a quiche, 6 chicken nuggets/goujons, chicken pie, pasta bake w/ Large portion of salad cream 1 medium portion of over baked chips 1 medium portion of sweetcorn/peas A large dollop of salad cream Weekly bit and bobs 2 hours walk per week 12 - 15 pints of beer or 4 bottles of wine per week 14 pints of orange/blackcurrant squash per week 50 - 60 small roll up cigarettes 20 - 25 cups of normal tea w/ skimmed milk per week ------------- To..... Breakfast 1 small mandarin Lunch/Work day (desk job) 1 sandwiche (Tuna mayo, Egg mayo, grilled chicken, cheese & pickle) 2 sticks of celery 1 apple 1 mandarin Dinner Tuna, egg, potato mixed leaf salad with Balsamic vinegar 3 x a week. 1 of the following - Half a quiche, 6 chicken nuggets/goujons, chicken pie, pasta bake 4 x a week w/ small portion of salad cream Replacing chips with mixed salad or broccoli. 1 medium portion of sweetcorn/peas. Weekly bit and bobs 2 hours walk per week. 2 - 3 hours exercise at the gym. (jogging, cycling etc) 6 - 8 pints of beer or 2 bottles of wine per week. 14 pints of orange/blackcurrant squash per week. 20 pints of water per week. Quitting smoking - may smoke when I'm out but on average it has been less then 10 a week. 20 - 25 cups of Kukicha tea w/ no milk. I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts. |
