Default Waist Measurement

When men measure their waist, they ususally measure their hips which is where most trousers or jeans tend to fit.

If I measure my "waist" around my hips I get away with being a 34-36 inch waist.

But it is not my waist!

To get an accurate measurement you should place the measure around your bellybutton.

When I do this I am a 38 inch waist.

I have been kidding myself for a long time!

Hi Kirk,

From my very limited experience you are one of few.

I have tried this with a few friends and all of them are in denial about their waist measurement, me included until recently.

maybe it's because I spend time in the company of guys with beer belly's
