My cholesterol is higher than I would like at 6.4 and part of my diet I intend to reduce this to a more acceptable level. The problem is how do I know if my diet is achieving this?
I know there are self test kits available but are they any good? Has anyone used these before or have any recommendations of which type, make, model work the best? |

How do you know it is 6.4 in the first place, did you go to the Docs?

I had a yearly health check at work and then had the test done at the doctors. Recently I had kidney stones ( ouch ) and another blood test. At least it is not going up.

I don't really know too much about the self test ones, as in how accurate they are. I don't think they've had a bad press though. Just reducing the amount of saturated fat in your diet is only going to serve to help reduce your cholesterol levels.
