    Hi Jules,

    Welcome to the forum.

Can you tell us what diets you have tried? What have found to be the best and worst diets for you?

    Hi Jules, welcome.

I'm also a yoyo dieter but seem to be going through a 'yo' phase at the moment. Currently sticking to a 33lb loss over the last six months.

I too like Weight Watchers as you can eat what you want - as long as you count the points !!!

I find that when I am slipping I stop writing down what I am eating. It is so hard to keep on track and not give up but this time I have really tried hard to concentrate on the 'sabotaging voices' in my head which keep telling me not to bother and start again tomorrow.

I found it helpful to choose a positive saying so that each time I headed for the kitchen with a 'I'll start tomorrow' voice in my head I reapeated my mantra which is 'I want to be thin more than I want to eat.......' It does work and the more you practice listening to the sabotaging voices and override them with the positive voice the easier it becomes. Eventually the sabotaging voice gets quieter and you hardly hear it.

The last couple of months I haven't lost any weight but for once in my life I haven't put any on, I just stayed the same and i do believe that somehow I have re=-programmed my sub-conscoius. I am back on the healthy eating now and lost a few pounds again, I love that feeling of being in control and doing something positive and I try to remember that feeling when I want to give up. Having had at least 20 years of feeling large, uncomfortable, tired, ugly, why would I want to keep having those feelings?

Good luck, you can do it, I look forward to hearing your progress.

Hi Helen it was nice to hear from you I am having terrible trouble sticking to a diet at the moment. I gave in at xmas time and have not been able to stick to the diet since. I can feel that familiar feeling of my clothes getting tight again and I hate it. Imust get into the right frame of mind again but you are right weight watchers is a good diet and it does work.
