My name is deborah and am in something of a quandry. Six years ago I lost five stones with weight watchers, had to leave through serious illness and have regained all the lost weight since. Last week, after trying to lose weight alone, rejoined ww. I weighed in at 17st 101/2lb. I feel very motivated now to lose weight, but the 'leader' was awful, really uninspiring. I have been following the ww points system and will go again this coming week, to be weighed. At the risk of becoming more depressed I may stay for the meeting. If it's as bad as last week I'll have to consider whether or not it's worth paying almost £5 a week just to get weighed, or spend 50p on Boots scales and subscribe to this forum and hopefully succeed with online support. I don't like the ethos of ww, with their table ladened with ww choc bars etc. and the leader's constant message of ww attendance being the only way to successfully lose weight, and keep it off. I'm hoping that other forum members can reassure me that this is not the case.
