Welcome! You've come to the right place!!! I only joined a short while ago! I found the first 3 or 4 weeks were the hardest, I lost over half a stone in first couple of weeks then came to a stand still, this always happened to me at the beginning and is usually when i would give up. I am pleased to say I have stuck to it this time and have currently lost 20lbs and am into my 7th week of dieting now.
I found the more exercise I did the more it motivated me, I was less tempted to pig out after a hard workout!! I have to admit that I have not really kept the exercise up, it was hard to find the time and energy. Once the kids are in bed, all I really want to do, after a long day, is relax with my husband. Despite the lack of exercise I have continued to lose 2lb a week. I am not following any particular diet, just smaller meal portions and no crisps or chocolate etc!! I still eat whatever I want to eat, so if i fancy a bacon sandwich one day for a treat then I have one but only a small one!!

Good luck on your weight loss journey, I look forward to reading some progress updates
    Amy x

Hiya, been long term dieter too. Starting fresh Again. This time, I am more positive. I gave up smoking nearly four years ago and thought that was the hardest thing I ever did. Yet, I have been on diets for so long now that I suddenly realised that actually, losing weight is the hardest thing anyone can do. My advice, never feel down when you cheat. Never feel you have failed. Never feel disappointed. Take each day as it comes. It is going to take a long time. If you do cheat, recognise it and dont do it again. change 1 thing at a time. Always take one thing off your plate and throw it in the bin after you have dished out a meal. Swap that packet of crisps or cream cake for a banana or handfull of hazel nuts (full of vitamin E very good for you, small handfull though as high in fat). It's what I have started to do. Do what works for you. Took me 6 years to put on five stone. It's going to take at least 2 year to get it off, see, I'm already quids in by 3 years.
    Good luck.
