Hi,

First time in here so I will do a brief intro!

I'm Darren, 36 and in the UK. I was about 17st 3 years back, now I am just under 13 st.

I don't follow a strict diet, I just ate healthier and did more exercise. A little less junk food and a bit more fruit and veg! That is not strictly true, I did have to work hard to change my eating habits and started paying attention to what I ate.

I am still a big man in a smaller man's body though, can't resist those naughty snacks and think I can eat the big portions.....strange thing is that my weight seems to stick around 13 st......maybe I have somehow managed to change my metabolism lol.

Nice to meet you all

hi stephy. just joined up and thought as we were both in scotland we may be able to help each other.

i too need to lose about 3stone or more being around a size20-24 but for now i'd be happy to start with half a stone and be comfortable in my 18-20 clothes that are in the wardrobe and haven't been worn.

some people don't suit the skinny look - look at natalie cassidy, she looked awful as a size 8-10. time we leaned that we need to be comfy in our own skin before worrying if others think the same. as long as my clothes fit me on the day i want them and i feel ok then i don't care what size the label says!!

There is no need to diet.....If you just half the the amount you normaly eat for you meal you will loose weight, cut the alcohol down to a couple of drinks or 6 units a week you will feel and look better, and drink plenty water 2 or 3 lts a day its seems a lot but over a 10 hour day its a doddle....

Hello

I'm Hayley. And i'm GIANT! Literally weigh about 17 stone at moment - eeeek.... and i wish I was tall to carry it off, but i'm only 5.6....

Currenty living abroad in Syria as my hubby works for the FCO. Joined a gym about a month ago, so hopefully that will help a bit, but need to start eating healthy.

Same old problem with me - I always know what i'm doing wrong, but just need to motivate myself.... so hopefully this website might help?
