Hi i am 48 and have 4 stone to lose, some of my medication makes it harder to lose weight and i also have an underactive thyroid, exercise is hard due to medical conditions so i am afraid i will have to lose the weight just by eating healty and a little walking daily, and a swim once a wk, i have read the other threads and think it is a good idea to keep a food diary and also a side note for how i felt after certain foods, you know still hungry, satisfied, bloated that kind of thing anyway hope to chat to some other people perhaps to help each other along, i am 13 stone and would like to get down to 9st if it is possible,

Default fattie fattie bum bum

Hi everyone,
ive just joined as im in the process of losing weight ive put on over the past year, i was 15 stone and have gone down to 13.1 at the moment, but i feel like i need someone other then my sister to talk diet with!
im a twin and she was 16.5 and is now 12.3 so she has done really well which is making me feel like the fatter sister and i can admit i get a bit jealous talking to her about dieting when she is almost a stone thinner then i am!
so it would be good to hear from u all about your progress and how u are doing with this dieting malarky!
x

Hi Everyone, Like you, Spirit, I am on a medication which works against weight loss (Lithium) and I take Thyroxin for an underactive thyroid. That said, I have always loved carbs, bread is my particular downfall, and I don't mean sliced pan, I mean those lovey freshly baked loaves that I can eat in a day. I am looking for support and am willing to give support. Would like to weigh in weekly.

Hi i'm Louise, i'm also wanting to lose at least a stone. I've bought loads of slimfast but cannot seem to stick to it for longer than 2 days. Not sure what to do now, the kids keep drinking them as milkshakes lol. Has any one else tried slimfast? Louise x

Hi everyone,

Well here i am again, not thrilled about it but I am already healthier due to the fact of giving up smoking at new year.........18lb weight gain though, not all due to stopping smoking, I mean we did have xmas just a couple of weeks before that.......Anyway onwards and upwards or should that be downwards (on the scale).

Good luck to you all, anybody want a diet buddy just let me know x

Hi Gem and to all on this forum site.

I'am Mike,38 married with two gorgeous girls,11 and 9.

Thought i'd give this a go,to meet new friends and generally use it to keep up my spirits when feelin low when it comes to the big D word.Hoping to have a lot of fun here, get loads of ideas and try out what ever works for everyone else.

Used to be a skinny lad that could easily fit down a grid, but would now struggle to get down a man hole in the ground.Started to go to the gym as i used to get out of breath just going up the stairs which is a real poor show.

Going circuit training tomorrow(monday) but i might struggle this week as my mate came round on sat night to have a chat(women trouble) and somehow got through 7 cans and before i knew it i was happily drunk and consumed several bags of crisps, nuts and well, everything that was in the kitchen. So yes i might struggle at the gym tomorrow but its always good fun.

Start my diet again next week, and get back on track with getting my 6 pack back.Anyhow looking forward to meeting you all very soon.Bye for now,Mike
