Default Hello and a Question needing answered please

Well I'm a bloke, so new to all this weight loss stuff

But have decided to try and loose some weight via watching my diet and dragging myself away from the PC and doing some exercise. Now as part of doing all this, I decided to set up a spread sheet and inputting all the Calories, Sugars, Fats, Sats and Salt in my diet. Using this info it has enabled me to change my diet to a more healthy one.

Started the exercise first, on the 19th August, then decided to look at my diet 11th Sept, and so far in forty seven days I've managed to loose 11.4lbs [ looking to loose 1lb a week so not going to bad really. ]

I actually hit 11.4lbs lost by Friday morning last week, but blew all the good work away on a Tesco Cheese Cake over Saturday Sunday. But on seeing 1.4lbs added back by Monday morning, I had the determination to slide the last slice left into the kitchen bin. So here we are Wednesday morning and I've managed to claim 1lb of that 1.4lb back.

Now I have one question I would like an answer to, its regarding naturally occurring sugar found in fruit and veg.

Question is: [in any replies, please state if it's a personal guess/ assumption or an actual definitive researched answer]

Do the aforementioned sugars constitute part of the Guideline Daily Amount of sugar in your diet?

I ask this because my spreadsheet indicates on a daily and hence 7 day daily cycle I can consume 55g of naturally occurring sugar daily. This is a big chunk of my 85g GDA for sugar

Will I have to cut down on some of my fruit intake, so I can accommodate my daily slice of cake treat.

    Cheers.

Right two days on from my original query and not so much as a squeak. So in the absence of any input I'll answer my own question........[ for anybody who is interested]

Yes naturally occurring sugars in fruit and vegetables do count towards the Guideline Daily Amounts.

Anyway here we are on the eve of the week end, and I'm weighing in at 1.4lbs less than I did this time last week. So lets see if I can hang onto that weight loss this weekend.

And with it being way to busy on this forum for me........ I think I'll just stick to offering advice on my favourite car forum...........................so it won't be a case of signing off with ............

    Catch you later.

    Bye
