I never thought I would find myself posting on a diet forum but I think it may help.
Hello to you all and looking forward to joining you in "battle"
Today I will embark on the first diet I have ever been on. I am 47 and getting a bit stout around the middle - I hate it.
I am 5 ft 5" and weigh 9st 4 - it may not seem much but I am a fairly slight build. Up until the age of 35 I was 8stone 4. From 35 to 45 8 stone 12 and now the extra pounds are around my middle.
I play about 8 hours of tennis a week. Have two rounds of golf and walk two dogs twice daily for a total of 1 hr 30. No room to increase exercise, but will do some middle abs work (yuk hate this)
I do not drink alcohol. So nothing to cut out there.
I need to eat less, so from today I will eat 20% less each day. (I eat very little saturated fat as I've battled with endometriosis and without fat I am symptom free)
I need to lose about half a stone. It may not seem much but to me it's a strain on my joints when playing matches - an increased risk of injury and a muffin top over my jeans! I do not want to buy more clothes.
I will report back in one week and let you know what happens.
In the meantime I will look at some of your stories.
All the best, Pud x
