My diet exercise program.

I try and have three meals a day as a rule, found in the past skipping meals doesn't work or just eating one type of food.

Typical examples:

Breakfast: Cereal with skimmed milk or toast.

Lunch: soup or healthy sandwhich or other light lunch.

Evening meal: I try and include chicken or fish or turkey etc. salad and rice or pasta.
or jacket potato with healthy filling and salad.
piece of fruit.
I also try to change the evening meal to lunch time and lunch to evening. Variety so not to be too much the same and get boring, can run into big trouble that way.
As a rule now i don't snack but if i am tempted i always try to keep carrots, celery to hand.

With salads i try and add dried fruit, also i always use a low cal dressing.

As for the exercise at the moment i am just sticking to walking. I live in the country and have some really nice walks. hope this helps

Along with the diet loss and change to a healthy lifestyle, which has to be a permanent change, i have had problems with drink. I have always been a drinker and this has not halped my cause.
I have since starting my diet, decided to stop drinking totaly. If i can achieve both of these goals i feel i will be able to achieve any target i put my mind to.
When i was growing up it was always a case of not wasting food, my parents grew up during the second world war. Obviously food was scarce. You only realise later that if you have a smaller meal you don't waste food.
Staying focused helps me, i know why i have started this and its these reasons that keep me motivated. The most important reason is i am doing this for me, for my health. If you are trying to change for someone else it makes it a lot harder.

Thanks very much for the kind words, great source for inspiration.
I have a week break from work this week, next week its a very busy period where i work so re-charge the batteries.
Normally being on a break from work is a time when i think we all feel at times that 'hey its a holiday doesn't matter, get back on track next week'. I haven't done that this time, i have stayed focused and motivated. I have worked hard to get where i am now and i know its so easy to put it back on with out realising it.
I haven't drunk alcohol either so two of my goals are on target. i came across a good saying from the character Yoda from star wars that works for me: DO OR DO NOT, THERE IS NO TRY.

The Fight goes on!

I had my weigh in this morning and i have lost another 5lb !. That puts my weight at 15 stone a loss of 2 stone 7lb. Everything is going so well, i have a positive attitude towards my healthy diet/Lifestyle change that seems to really paying off. I am not starving myself just being focused on what i eat. I am still not drinking alcohol so its ticking all the right boxes.

Do or do not, there is no try: Yoda

I myself am a big drinker and was out at the weekend and able to abstane from alcohol. It did bore me so i compensated with dancing...which is another bonus more calorie burning!
