Default The older I get, the harder it is....

I'm 5'10" and currently 12st 12lbs. My target weight is 11st. When I was younger (pre kids) I could eat what I wanted, whenever I wanted and not put anything on! Roll on 15 years and 2 kids later and I have to work to get the body I want! When I was in my 20's I was able to diet and shift the pounds, suddenly, in my 30's (well been here for 5 years...) and it's so hard!

A couple of years ago I went to Scottish Slimmers (similar to Weight Watchers, Slimming World etc...) and got down to 11st 9lbs, and felt great. So great infact that I met a man, and there was the downfall again - meals out etc... It didn't last long but I was back into a bad habbit of eating too much.

I've let it go on way too long, am at my heaviest weight ever (bar being pregenant, and even then was only a little bit more). I know what to do, just need the motiviation I guess. Going back to class is not an option as I have various things on in the evenings for the kids so am hoping that by committing on here it will give me the focus and motivation I need.

Good luck to all of you who are also embarking on this journey - I look forward to following your progress and hope you enjoy mine!

Hi...I'm in exactly the same place! I too am hoping to get motivated to lose the wright. I used to find it easy when I was younger....I'm 48 and 5'6 and two years ago I weighed 10'3....now I'm 12'7!! I know where I've gone wrong, I used to go to a gym and run twice a week, now I do nothing other than eat and drink to much of the wrong things! I have a cross trainer in my garage and have promised myself I will get on it tomorrow...good luck to you, would like to hear how you have been doing...wish me luck!

I think every woman finds it gets harder as we get older.
I remember not having to diet for longer than 2 weeks to get to target...
    Good luck Estee
