    Default food diary

hellooo, i've decided to start a new diet plan as of this weekend because in july i'm going on holiday with all my friends and want to look the best i possibly can on the beach! i'm not overweight, however at 5ft 1 any extra weight is sooooo obvious and all my friends are super super slim - my best friend is a UK size 4/US size 0! i by no means want to be that skinny, but it would be good to stand next to her in photos and not look short and stumpy! so, starting tomorrow i will be posting a food diary and any exercise i do - i'm currently revising for my a levels so i've seriously got to be committed and dedicate time to eating healthy whilst working hard most of the day.
my major weakness is cereal - i can eat bowls and bowls of it even when i'm not hungry, which is never a good idea. i live at home and all of my family eat it so it's not as if i can avoid it being in the house, however i will try my very best to avoid it myself all the same/eat it in moderation.
    here goes!

    Saturday 23rd April
    Breakfast: Raspberry yoghurt
    Snack: Apple
Lunch: Cheese and onion toasted wholemeal sandwich
Snack: Strawberries, melon, sultanas and nuts
Dinner: Spaghetti with roasted veg and tomato sauce + side salad

About 1200 calories overall, so starting off strong (I think?)
My dinner is generally whatever my mum is cooking however everybody else had meatballs and bread but I asked her to substitute the meatballs for veg which seems somewhat healthier. Exercise wise, not much! I was at work waitressing a lot of the day so was on my feet quite a lot though and tomorrow I plan to go for an early morning swim which always energizes me will post tomorrow (Easter!) so we'll see if I do...

Breakfast: Bran Flakes with skimmed milk and blueberries
Easter snack: 2 dark chocolate Lindor truffles
Lunch: Tuna salad (without mayo) and about half a dozen Pringles
    Snack: Strawberries
Dinner: Chicken breast in a mushroom and apple sauce with spinach and roasted honey tossed carrots and parsnips
Dessert: 3 squares of Green and Black’s dark cherry chocolate (soooo good!)

Not such a good day – I attribute the chocolate to Easter but now I know I’ll be snacking on it after meals! I will probably limit myself to 1 chocolate a day because they’re too yummy to give up completely…
I’m happy I went swimming at 7:00 this morning for about 45 minutes, and although I ate cereal afterwards, I had just one handful of Bran Flakes, as opposed to 3 bowls of sugary cereal which is my norm. Even more surprising – I felt really satisfied with that – probably just my initial healthy eating enthusiasm though. Will hopefully keep it up though!
Not sure how healthy the carrots and parsnips were? Calorie wise I probably ate just over 1500 today. Thank you for the encouragement!

Breakfast: Muesli with skimmed milk and blueberries
    Snack: Apple
Lunch: Half a chicken and mustard sandwich and 1 cheese breadstick twist
    Snack: Melon and yoghurt
Dinner: Salmon fillet with salad and peas
Dessert: 3 squares of Green and Black’s dark cherry chocolate

woooo! really rather proud with today - and I haven't been too hungry which is good. writing it down really is good motivation to stay healthy and not munch unnecessarily because I know I'll have to confess whatever it is! (it's weird how anybody reading this post probably ponders on my diet for a matter of seconds however for the person whose food diary it is, in this case mine, the same food is such determining factor in the day and whoever it is making the food diary has probably given their individual diet a fair bit of though!) I had another early morning swim today but return to college tomorrow so don't see it happening again this week...probably ate around 1200 calories today. keep going everyone!

Breakfast: Muesli with skimmed milk and blueberries
    Snack: Raspberry yoghurt and apple
Lunch: Turkey salad and (another!) apple
Snack: Sultanas and nuts, and a handful of chips
Dinner: A third of a goat’s cheese and red pepper quiche with salad
Dessert: 3 squares of Green and Black’s dark cherry chocolate

Apart from the chips, which were actually bought by my friends from the chip shop so I nibbled on about 10, oops – not a bad day but certainly could’ve been a bit healthier, not sure how healthy quiche is?! About 1450 calories for the day overall probably. In terms of exercise, I did an hour long intensive ballet class – felt so good afterwards!

    Yesterday =

Breakfast: 1 slice of wholemeal toast with Flora Light and strawberry jam
    Snack: Apple and strawberry yoghurt
Lunch: Roasted vegetable salad with honey and mustard dressing
    Snack: Pear
Dinner: Vegetable soup with ½ slice of granary bread
Dessert: Lemon yoghurt and 3 squares of Green and Black’s dark cherry chocolate

exercise was just the 40 minutes I walk when going to and from college, but i do walk at quite a pace seeing as I'm always late/in a hurry! plus 6 hours on my feet at work in the evening... just over 1200 calories eaten overall. my daily updates are no doubt getting tedious, but my god do they help me stay on track a little more!

    Default hi

Thats why the most important thing if you want to lose weight is commitment. You need to have a commitment or self-control not to eat the foods that is not advisable. So if your favorite is cereal, then you have to sacrifice for it.
