    Default Right...Here goes

    Emma

    Age - 29
    Height - 5' 6''
    Weight - 16st 4lbs
    BMI - 37 (scaaaaary)
    Dress size - 20/22

My current plan is to keep a food diary and avoid words like 'diet', while at the same time going to the gym regularly.

2 years ago I was going to the gym 4 times a week so I reckon I should be able to do that realistically now.

Im proud of the weight I have already lost. I was nearly 20 stone. I remember thinking then that I would be happy at this size, but now Im here I don't see any sense in stopping until Im healthy (or ever). However, I need a firm kick up the backside sometimes so checking in here will really help.

I turn 30 in July and I REFUSE to feel my weight is holding me back in my 30s the way I have let it at times throughout my 20s.

Plus, my boyfirend is younger than me and I need to be able to keep up with him as I get older ;o)

Unfortunately Im not expecting to see any real difference on the scales for the first few months of the gym. I'll be doing quite a bit of toning work so that'll effect things. But hopefully I'll be on here saying I've got smaller...What am I talking about? I WILL be getting smaller!

    Wish me luck.

    xx

    Hi Emma

You can do it, you have already done so well - DONT STOP NOW!!!!

I find that using my mantra - I want to be thinner more than I want to eat ....................choc/bisc - whatever food you're going to eat

I've been saying that for so long now that I always hear it - It makes me realise the choice I am making. Before I would eat without even realising or thinking or tasting for that matter.

I really wish I had done this years ago - so stick with it - look forward to hearing your progress.

Congatulations on the weight loss so far. You have proved to yourself what can be done and I am sure that you will continue to prove to yourself what can be achieved.

    Thanks for your support guys

Ok, despite sticking to my target calories for the week theres no change on the scales.

Theres no point getting down about it as Im already feeling healthier, seem to have more energy and Im enjoying the gym. Its not going to come off by NOT doing those things so as far as Im concerned I havent gone wrong anywhere and it will happen

My OH is doing well aswell. Making friends at the gym and having a good time/looking forward to going, which Im pleased about. I think this change is going to stick.

    Keep smiling,
    Emma

It's a beginning. You've done so well don't worry if it's a slow start to your next phase.

    Hey well done!

That has to be a good feeling being able to get back into something you havent been able to wear for a long time.

    Keep it up!
