Thanks Gem. I am having a down day today, I have put on 2lb this week and just can't understand why. I have been so good and even turned down a pudding after a meal with my parents (which for me was very hard). I feel just about ready to give up now! Think maybe i need to up my exercise, i do an hours exercise 3 nights a week at the moment. I just do it at home while hubby watches the kids, gyms are too expensive!
If anyone has any good tips to share on how to tone up saggy tummy and flabby arms it would be much appreciated!!

    Thanks

Sometimes it can be down to fluid retention, from what i have been told because i had this problem a few weeks ago
while on my diet and it made me feel really down.
Or it can be down to ' time of the month' ! lol

I have an exercise dvd that has some good stomach workouts on it -
The plank is one of them, where you lie on your front then go on your toes and on your forearms and hold it for like 30 seconds.
Always makes my muscles ache and feel like they are working.

Also one which apparently Britney Spears uses is - where you lie on your back put your legs in the air, cross your feet over then try and touch your toes 1 arm at a time, for 30 reps.
Then cross youur feet the other way and do the same, this one hurts too! Mind you Britney is said to do like 1000 a day! lmao Dont know how true that it tho. 8-)

Theres loads of different arm exercises you can do for the back and under of the arm -
Dips ( you can use a kitchen chair )
Or you could do the one where you have a weight and lift it backwards. Not sure of the name for that, but you could easily google it.

Keep it up hun! Its good you are exercising as much as you are esp from homw when you have kids, thats always alot harder.

    Stay positive Amy x x x

The good choices you've made have helped. Whether you've seen it this week or not, it will all add up.

Don't even think about giving up. If you keep going things will change...if you give up they won't.

I had years of feeling that way and when you let that go it gets better, way better.

I hate doing the leg lifty thing, but it is really good.

Hip rolls are fab, easy and feel lovely to do as you get a good strech down your sides aswell. I know its not stomach or arms, but Im going to tell you about them anyway because they're my favourite...so nerr

After you've warmed up, lay on your back with your knees bent and feet together.

Bring your knees down towards the floor on one side as far as you can and repeat that side about 12 times before changing to the other side. I normally do a coupe of sets.

It helps with the strech if you rest your alternate arm on the floor above your head. eg, if you're dropping your knees to the left raise your right arm. I love 'em, lost 4 inches there in three months!

Keep it up. You're doing fine xxx

Hi all, my account got blocked, couldn't log in for two days, had to set up new profile!

Thank you for advice and support EmmKay!! Tried those hip rolls but caused me too much pain due to an operation I had on my left hip x

Right back to it, so I weighed myself today and have lost another 4lb, yipppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! I now weigh in at 16 stone 4lb which means I have lost a total of 12lb in 3 weeks since started diet. Weight always drops off me quick when first start, then it comes to a complete halt (this is when I usually give up), just got to push through next stage now and stay strong!!
